#57-2B WASHED GRAVEL-RIVER ROCK

#57 or 2B WASHED GRAVEL is commonly;y referred to as RIVER ROCK. This particular gravel is great for landscaping and is often used to replace mulch for a much more maintenance free product. 

The common size range is from .5" to 1.5" in diameter, with many suppliers specifying a size around 2 inches. This makes the pieces roughly the size of a golf ball.It is a popular choice for the initial, load-bearing layer of driveways, roads, and other heavy-traffic areas.

Its clean, large-particle composition makes it an excellent choice for French drains, culverts, and other drainage applications where a high volume of water needs to pass through freely.
