#617 limestone (or gravel) is a highly compactable, dense mixture of 1-inch to dust crushed stone, ideal for base layers, pothole repairs, and road/paver foundations. It functions similarly to #304 or #411 stone. It is best applied in 4-inch lifts, watered, and compacted to 98% density.
